Galleries

Crashing waves, sandy beaches, high cliffs & rock formations, old jetty's and water craft, wildlife and natural beauty the coast has all of this. For me the coast is easily one of the most inspiring environments to photograph.

Coastal

Relic - noun: 'an object surviving from an earlier time, especially one of historical interest'. Well that's what the dictionary says but almost anything neglected and weathered I think makes a good subject for an image. These are a few images of weathered relics I've come across.

New Zealands South Island features truly impressive natural wonders on an epic scale and seemingly limitless photographic opportunities.

Natural World

Sometimes its great to simplify an image and lose the color. Black & White photography can instead focus on the textures and tones in a shot. The highlights and shadows become more dominant and increased interest can be gained from shapes within the composition.

Flaking paint, the patina of corroded metal, the deep orange and red hues of rust, bolts caked in layers of grime. I'm fascinated by this kind of subject and I'm always trying to find new locations to capture it.
